"Oh I do remember that interesting and useful info I chanced upon, but just can't recall where." If you sound like this very often and turn to google for the rescue or find your bookmarks folders growing in size, here is a cool solution.
Evernote. Download it on your system and sign up. Everytime you come across anything interesting just highlight a few crucial lines from the page and click on the Evernote icon. The lines gets saved into a note along with the website address automatically. When you need it back, there is a search option to dig it out for you. Life is much easier for sure.
